We all know what a computer keyboard looks like, but it didn't start as easily as it seems today because the first QWERTY keyboard was used around 1870.
QWERTY is one of the most widely used designs for Latin American keyboards. It was named from the order of the first six keys on the top left letter row of the keyboard.
The QWERTY layout was devised and created in the early 1870s by Christopher Latham Sholes, a newspaper editor and printer. In October 1867, Sholes filed a patent application for his early writing of a machine he developed with his friends. The first model constructed by Sholes used a piano-like keyboard with two rows of characters arranged alphabetically. But for the next 5 years he tried to improve his invention as much as possible.
As early as 1873, the first marks of this keyboard appeared and it was sold to E. Remington & Sons. The keyboard layout was finalized within a few months by Remington's and was finally presented. Once Remington bought it, he changed several things for it, such as a QWERTY keyboard. The QWERTY then became popular with the success of the Remington 2, the first typewriter to include both upper and lower case letters, using a shift key.
In fact, the Remingtons' company caught up with the QWERTY keyboard for complete perfection. Because after its purchase, it spread almost all over the world.
